KERRY FONTANA / Senior Counsel

KERRY FONTANA
Senior Counsel

Kerry Fontana is an attorney at Johnson Marlowe and a litigator with over a decade of experience. He focuses on disputes arising out of real property sales transactions, contracts to improve real property, trespasses and encroachments, and leases. He also litigates disputes involving business partners, fiduciaries, and debtors/creditors.

Prior to joining Johnson Marlowe, Kerry was engaged in private practice in New York City, where he gained experience with a broad array of issues arising out the ownership and leasing of residential and commercial spaces, construction and improvements, insurance coverage, and the City and State’s rent regulation laws and codes.

Kerry appreciates the expense and stress of litigation, and aspires to work smart and hard to evaluate his clients’ needs and options, and to advance their interests by obtaining the appropriate judicial remedy. He has obtained and successfully opposed for his clients—at the beginning of the litigation process—preliminary remedies: injunctions, orders of seizure, and stays of enforcement of judgments. Using these tools, he has protected his clients’ valuable interests in leaseholds, financial accounts, and secured property.

Kerry graduated from Brooklyn Law School, where he served as the Assistant Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law and as a research assistant. He earned his Bachelors’ degree from Hunter College of the City University of New York. He is a member of the Western Circuit Bar Association and the New York County Lawyers Association. He is a husband and father of two and a recent transplant to Athens.
