Kara Farmer

Kara is a paralegal at Johnson Marlowe, and supports attorneys in managing complex litigation matters. In her professional life, she focuses on hard work and maintaining balance and a good attitude. Prior to joining Johnson Marlowe, Kara graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Public Policy and Management. In addition to public interest studies, Kara also completed coursework in employment and business law as part of the Terry College of Business’s Legal Studies Program. During and after college, Kara interned with a local family law attorney and at the Athens Public Defender Office, allowing her first-hand experience with civil and criminal procedure.

Kara’s interest in law also extends outside of the office. She is a committed volunteer for the Athens Access to Justice Initiative, and she recently started assisting with coordinating the Initiative’s undergraduate volunteers.
